Meet Darren, our Executive Chef at TAK

Running a kitchen the size of TAK requires a lot of organizational skills and structure, so Darren's day always starts with going through the reservations and catching up with his kitchen team. And yes, being originally from the UK, he doesn't drink coffee but a cup of tea to start the day

The best thing about Darren's job is that he gets to work creatively creating new dishes and testing different flavor combinations. "I love seeing the reactions of our guests when they get a dish that started as an idea on a piece of paper but grew into a dish on the menu, it's a big part of my life, to create"

Darren's favorite at TAK right now is our Dry aged Swedish sirloin with braised onion and roasted garlic. "Sometimes simplicity is king"

Fun fact about Darren... He's totally in love with Ice Bath... but if you want to be a chef, act like a pirate.
