TAK challenges the industry and launches Stockholm's largest selection of non-alcoholic beverages
While the beverage industry often limits non-alcoholic options to just a few alternatives, TAK is choosing to go in the opposite direction. By presenting Stockholm's broadest and highest-quality range of non-alcoholic drinks, TAK aims to push both suppliers and producers to raise the bar and pave the way for Functional Socializing — a global movement where social interaction and health go hand in hand.
The initiative is driven by frustration over the historically narrow selection of quality non-alcoholic beverages. The expansion is so extensive that the non-alcoholic menu is no longer part of the regular wine list. Instead, TAK has created a completely separate drink list presented to all guests at the table to highlight non-alcoholic choices as an equal and well-crafted alternative.
"We want to give non-alcoholic culture the place it truly deserves, and we are happy to take the lead on that journey. For us, it’s about showing an enormous breadth of everything from craft beer to complex wines and Sparkling Tea. We actually dare to claim that we have Stockholm's, and perhaps Sweden's, largest non-alcoholic selection right now, and I more than welcome anyone to come here and prove me wrong over a glass." — Daniel, CEO at TAK.
A Menu That Stands on Its Own
TAK's new drink list is a total overhaul of all categories to ensure that guests never have to compromise on quality or choice.
- Quantity and Quality: The range includes over 100 different non-alcoholic items, creating unique freedom of choice on the Stockholm restaurant scene.
- Wines and Sparkling Tea: A deep selection of non-alcoholic wines is complemented by an extensive and exclusive range of Sparkling Tea.
- Craft Mixology: The menu includes complex servings like “Pistachio & Cucumber,” where pistachio, cucumber, agave, and fig leaf meet non-alcoholic white wine.
- Waking Flavors: The selection features the energizing “Espresso & Tonic” with orange.
- Rich Combinations: The menu also includes drinks like “Ginger & Wine” with orange and red wine, as well as the exotic “Passionfruit & Vanilla.”
"Our focus has been to create a non-alcoholic experience that is as well-crafted as the rest of our menu. By working with ingredients like fig leaf, roasted tea, and exclusive cordials, we ensure that the non-alcoholic choices are at the highest level and offer something for everyone." — Amanda, Bar Manager at TAK.
Expanding the Sober Frontier
The launch of this broad selection is just the beginning of TAK Stockholm's journey into the non-alcoholic realm. Looking to the future, there is a clear ambition to add more alternatives to the list. The team is currently exploring how ingredients like Lion’s Mane, Reishi, and Chaga can be integrated to offer guests something that enriches both body and mind.
For Daniel Pettersson, the main philosophy when it comes to TAK Stockholm’s beverage program—be it with or without alcohol—is balance, depth and character. Whether serving up teas, botanicals, fermented hybrids or beverages from small-scale producers, all drinks are curated to pair naturally with the food.
– At TAK Stockholm, we believe that choosing a non-alcoholic drink should feel just as exciting and considered as choosing wine, sake or a cocktail. For us, it is not an afterthought, but an important part of the whole. Our goal is simple: every guest should be able to enjoy a thoughtful and inspiring beverage experience, with or without alcohol, he says.
