Experience a Stockholm classic reimagined through the lens of Japanese precision. At TAK, our Toast Skagen is a marriage of premium shrimp, dill, and horseradish with the vibrant flavors of the Far East.
 

The Foundation: Shokupan

We serve our Skagen on a thick slice of Shokupan, Japan’s iconic milk bread. Known for its mochi-mochi (springy) and fuwa-fuwa (fluffy) texture, this enriched bread is toasted to create a golden crust that hides a soft, creamy interior.

The Secret: Yuzu Kosho

The dish is elevated by Yuzu Kosho, an "electric" fermented paste of green yuzu, salt, and chili. This "secret weapon" acts as an umami multiplier and grease-cutter. Its floral heat and sharp acidity cleanse the palate, perfectly balancing the richness of the prawns.
