Mikael Svensson from Restaurant Kontrast in Norway is coming to TAK

We are extremely proud to present our next guest chef. On May 8th, celebrity chef Mikael Svensson will come to TAK for his first guest appearance in Stockholm. Mikael is the chef behind the renowned Restaurant Kontrast in Norway, located in Oslo and awarded a Michelin star. 

Mikael is a well-known culinary master in Norway, and he is now visiting his home turf to show us Swedes what he's made of. With a solid background as a chef and experience from restaurants across Europe, Mikael is a master of his craft.

Mikael's culinary philosophy revolves around modern Scandinavian cuisine that emphasizes the use of local ingredients at the peak of their season.

"Our primary goal is to offer world-class ingredients from organic and ethically sourced local farmers. We choose to use animals that have lived their lives freely and wild, as we believe that happy animals are the foundation of good flavours."

For his visit to TAK, Mikael has created a specially crafted menu, which he describes as follows:

"The menu will be based on what we currently serve at Kontrast, along with some signature dishes. Since it's early in the season and few things have started growing, the menu will focus more on protein and seafood. 

Kontrast focuses on locally sourced ingredients, and at TAK, I will create a seasonal menu of Norwegian and Swedish local ingredients. What will be unique to the guest appearance at TAK is that we will incorporate Swedish ingredients that are not typically found in Norway. 

Our main focus at Kontrast is zero-waste, and part of this has resulted in B.culture (Will Moffat's and my fermentation company), so the menu will include shoyu, miso, and garum made from by-products from Kontrast and our suppliers."

With this, we send out a warm welcome to this exciting guest appearance, where each dish tells a story of love for local ingredients and respect for nature.

Dinner sittings can be booked in TAK's dining room on the 13th floor from 18:30 - 20:30. There is limited seating for this special event so don't hesitate, reserve your table today by clicking on the button below.

The price of the menu is 1400Kr per person and our experienced sommelier Charlie will do an excellent drink pairing for 745Kr.
