Stockholm Sake Festival 2025
Sweden's first sake festival
The 10th and 11th of May 2025 marks the premiere of the Stockholm Sake Festival, Sweden’s first festival entirely dedicated to the Japanese drink sake. The festival is organized by TAK Stockholm in collaboration with Sweden’s leading experts in Japanese gastronomy and beverage culture.
A Tribute to Sake and Japanese Beverage Culture
The festival aims to introduce and deepen the knowledge of sake in Sweden through tastings, lectures, and gastronomic experiences. As a visitor, you will have the opportunity to explore different types of sake, meet breweries from Japan, and take part in exclusive masterclasses led by experts.
What can you expect at the Stockholm Sake Festival?
- Tastings of premium sake – A wide selection of sake from renowned breweries will be presented, from classic Junmai and Ginjo to more unique varieties.
- Meetings with sake producers and experts – Knowledgeable brewers and sake sommeliers from Japan and Europe will share their passion and expertise.
- Workshops and masterclasses – In-depth sessions for those who want to learn more about sake brewing, serving techniques, and how to best enjoy the drink.
- Sake and Ramen in perfect harmony – During the festival, we will host Sweden’s first Ramen Competition. Which restaurant in Sweden makes the best ramen? You decide!
- Japanese tea culture, coffee, ceramics, and knives – In addition to sake, visitors can experience Japanese tea culture, admire and purchase ceramics directly from Kappabashi in Tokyo, or even learn more about Japanese knives.
A New Meeting Place for Sake Enthusiasts and the Industry
The Stockholm Sake Festival is a unique platform for both beginners and professionals to explore sake and network with experts. By organizing the festival, TAK Stockholm aims to further establish sake as a natural part of Sweden’s beverage culture.
The first edition of the festival will be held at TAK Stockholm and is expected to attract both Swedish and international visitors. Are you curious about sake or already an enthusiast? Then this is an event you don’t want to miss!
